Astraean Individualism is an uplifting, international religion open to any individual, regardless of race, nationality, gender, age, wealth, or education, who respects and seeks to abide by its principles. 

Astraea - daughter of Astraeus, god of dusk, and Eos, goddess of dawn, was the star goddess of justice, innocence, purity, and precision from ancient Greek mythology. Her story tells us how she was the last of the immortals to live amongst humans during the Golden Age. However, as humans forsook their powers of goodness and truth and descended into wickedness, Astraea abandoned the earth and went to the skies where she transformed into the constellation Virgo. The legend foretells that when Astraea returns to earth one day, she will bring with her a new Golden Age and awakening for humanity. 

The Astraean Individualist Society arises in the spirit of this symbology of a great awakening and renewal brought about by Astraea - Justice - and each individual, together. Astraeans strive to live by the Four Tenets, which guide them in all aspects of life towards purposeful and truthful self-fulfillment and the enlightenment of all people.
